Hidden Object Presentations

This week we have been presenting our games in game design in the eighth grade class, and we have some nice hidden object games. The students were excited to show their games, and they did a good job with their presentations. The games can be viewed from the game gallery and anyone can play them. The hidden object games are the first games that are created in Game Design class and then we move on to the action game unit which we'll start tomorrow. It is a nice way to end the week as we advance our learning in Game Design class. Each student is recorded presenting their game to the class, and they enjoy watching their videos and their video blogs as well. The class is an enjoyable experience for student and teacher alike. We work hard but we also have a very good time. I look forward to moving forward to the next unit. Oh, by the way, GOOD-BYE WINTER! HELLO, SPRING!!

Game Design

Third block game design has been exploring some unchartered territory in action script 3.0 and the mobile unit in Globaloria. We will be moving on to the 3-D unit once this is completed, and we are very excited to move into this unit. The students are working through the lessons and helping each other as they complete the content and make their games. It is new and sometimes difficult but it is fun. We are glad that we decided to try these units this semester. Hopefully, the new skills will be beneficial to the students as they move on to college and other courses in Globaloria. Every

day is a new challenge and we are up to it. Come and see what we are doing!

Game Design Update in Second Block Class

In our second block class we are almost ready to present our hidden object games and things are going fairly well even after all of the time lost due to the snow days and the two-hour delays. It seems as if winter would never leave us. But, it does look like spring is approaching. Today is warm and sunny and the birds are singing. We added game ingredients today and are adding more to the games tomorrow. The games are coming along well. The students are doing a good job of keeping up with their work overall and we are having a good time in the class. Check our class out in a week and look at all the new hidden object games that we will have posted by then. It will be exciting to see! Don't miss out on the fun.
